Let Love Lift

You give and give, you pour and pour,

But find yourself with nothing more.

A heart so full, yet worn and tired,

Love should lift—not leave you wired.

They call it selfless, pure and true,

To put the world ahead of you.

But love that drains, that wears you thin,

Is not the love that lets light in.

For love is not a weight to bear,

It’s space to breathe, to choose, to care.

To set a line, to claim your place,

Is not neglect—it’s love with grace.

So pause before you say “yes” again,

Ask: “Is this joy, or just pretend?”

If guilt’s the hand that guides your way,

It might be time to walk away.

Fill your cup, let kindness start

Not just for them—but in your heart.

For when you honor you first, too,

Your love is deep, your light shines through.
